Highway 1 is a famous road that runs along the very west coast of the US. The road weaves its way through several thousand feet of elevation change right along the cliff beside the water. The spot in the photo is a secret ridge jutting out from the shoreline and could only be accessed by a small footpath. The view from there, in any direction, was just absolutely gorgeous. This picture is titled “Frustration in the Workplace.” My job was quite involving and overbearing at times. The daily grind sometimes made me forget I was living in one of the most beautiful places in the world. It was easy to lose perspective of the amazing experience as whole. I tried capturing that with this picture. Sometimes look)

I interned at Hitachi, Ltd. in the Ibaraki prefecture of Japan during the summer of 2013. This is a photo of my work team in front of our company. We worked on the control system for a proton beam accelerator for cancer treatment therapy. This product is intended for the St. Jude Children's Hospital and Mayo Clinic, both which are located in my home country, the United States.)
